You all know that iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G move quite hard if you install iOS 4 on them, regardless of whether they are jailbroken or not, so here is a way to improve their performance. It is about a change made to the Spotlight application, the one you can use for searching both on the phone and on the web, which consists in deselecting all the categories through which the application searches. Deselecting all categories should make the system easier and improve the performance of the terminal, but not having such a terminal at hand, I cannot confirm whether it works or not. If you have tried this tweak, please leave a comment with the results obtained.

This modification can also be done on the iPhone 3GS, but I for one did not notice any noticeable difference in performance.
