During the last evening, 2 new pictures appeared of what appears to be the front screen of the new iPod Touch 4. The images were sent by a distributor of iPhone parts, so they are quite credible. There were rumors a month ago that the new iPod Touch 4 will have a front camera and will allow video calls using the FaceTime function, and this LCD has a slot at the top where a camera would probably be mounted, identical to the one from iPhone 4. Apple would allow iPod Touch owners to make video calls over WiFi using iTunes accounts as phone numbers (identifiers).
On the back of the screen you can find the Apple brand and the date when these components were produced, i.e. April 29, 2010, so it is quite an old component. Apple will release a new model of iPod Touch in September 2010 when it has a new conference.
