Yesterday I wrote one article in which we told you that some anti-spyware programs block access to the jailbreakme.com website, so there is a chance that soon we will not be able to access the website at all. To prevent the situation in which you will not be able to jailbreak because the site cannot be accessed, I recommend you to download, from here, in your computer the files corresponding to your terminal and the firmware version you have. Here is how the files are named for each individual device:
- iPhone 1,1 = iPhone 2G
- iPhone 1,2 = iPhone 3G
- iPhone 2,1 = iPhone 3Gs
- iPhone 3,1 = iPhone 4
- iPod 1,1 = iPod Touch 1G
- iPod 2,1 = iPod Touch 2G
- iPod 3,1 = iPod Touch 3G
- iPad 1,1 = iPad (3G/WiFi)
Certain antivirus programs treat the respective files as viruses, so it would be advisable to close them in order to be able to download the files from the website. I will also make a tutorial in which I will explain how you can jailbreak even without www.jailbreakme.com.
