Until yesterday, it was not known for sure what operating system is hidden in the little black box called Apple TV, and since it was discovered that it runs iOS, the developers of the jailbreak solutions said that they would find a method to jailbreak it. The new Apple TV would be available at the end of September, but information was found in iOS 4.2 indicating that the device runs iOS, so it has become a target for jailbreakers. The intention is to allow users to install applications that will allow them to improve the small device, and of course allow them to pirate video content.
If Apple TV will also be jailbroken, then there will not be any terminal with iOS that has not been exploited through jailbreak.
