Yahoo Messenger 2.0 brings the ability to make video calls from iPhone

We told you a few days ago that Yahoo is preparing a new version of its application for iOS that will allow us to initiate video calls from our iPhones. Yesterday Yahoo launched this new version in the AppStore and I have already managed to make video calls between iPhone 4 and a PC and between iPhone 4 and an iPhone 3GS. The application uses "by default" the rear camera of the terminals, but for iPhone 4 there is the option to use the front camera, so you will be able to type while looking at your interlocutor. Unfortunately for the iPhone 3GS, this function does not exist because this terminal does not have a front camera, but probably the iPod Touch 4G can use the application under the same conditions as the iPhone 4.

The quality of the streaming is very good, it is not difficult, but there is a lag of a few seconds between your movement and the display of the image on the other device. The application is 100% free and allows you to initiate video calls from almost anywhere, even from the 3G network, you just need to have a good signal nearby to ensure that you have good video quality. You can download the Yahoo Messenger application from here.
