Yesterday, one appeared on the Internet video in which was presented a demonstration of what appeared to be a decoding done to the 05.15.01 baseband using a decoding solution called sn0w available in the limera1n application that is installed with the jailbreak made via limera1n. The main "confirmation" that that decoding solution would be false came from veeence, a relative of those from the Chronic Dev Team who are now in a small war with geohot, and it was based on the fact that the operator has the letter T-Mobile A, that is, the sign of the operator T-Mobile from Austria. iH8sn0w/MuscleNerd/cpich3g/planetbeing/sherif hashim, all experts in baseband decoding, did not say that that video was fake, so let's not be too quick to dismiss it yet, even though it could just be a fake.
geohot is known for his "huge" ego and launching a decoding solution after the jailbreak could be the perfect comeback for him. Let's not forget that the name of the operator can be written absolutely anything, so Steve Jobs could have been written there, and on the other hand that video could belong to a beta tester from Austria, so there are reasons to believe that the solution is real. On the other hand, the fact that it does not need a restart to implement the decoding seems quite suspicious to me, but I keep my positive thinking.
