Samsung Galaxy Player, or rather the younger brother of the Samsung Galaxy S terminal, is a name that could be on the lips of the department that deals with the development of iPod Touch models within the Apple company. With a totally unattractive exterior design (from my point of view) and Android OS 2.1 (or 2.2 according to some), this samsung galaxy player it will enter the market as a competitor for Apple's iPod Touch terminals and will more than likely generate quite good sales. The device will not have a GSM chip, like the iPod Touch, but it will have a 2-megapixel camera, a 3.2-inch Super Amoled screen with a resolution of 800×600, DLNA, Wi-Fi, 8/16GB storage capacity, slot for microSD cards, GPS, SoundAlive, support for DivX and a function that I, for one, would really like on the iPhone - FM Radio. Of course, this initial model is not really that well equipped in terms of hardware, but the presentation makes up for all the money and I for one am sure that it will raise quite a few eyebrows.

The Samsung Galaxy Player is a device worth considering when it comes to purchasing a gadget and the prices of the Samsung terminal are quite good, they start at €200 for the 8GB model and reach €250 for the 16GB model . Quite cheap I would say, cheaper than iPod Touches anyway, and the possibility of adding a microSD card increases the storage capacity even more for a fairly low price.

I say that Apple has a serious competitor in Samsung with both the Samsung Galaxy S and the new Samsung Galaxy Player.
