The Dell Streak is a compromise between an Internet tablet and a smartphone because, being equipped with a 5-inch screen, it is on the line between a genuine smartphone and a tablet, so a device that should bring a little of each of the 2 types of products. Dell has been working on the Streak model for some time and it seems that the final product is quite interesting, but its "positioning" between 2 categories of gadgets can be confusing for those who don't want a smartphone or a tablet. The Dell Streak has a 5-inch screen, a 1Ghz processor, 512 MB RAM and a 5-megapixel camera, so essentially it differs from the iPhone 4 only in the size of the screen and the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. Compared to the iPad 3G tablet, it has twice the amount of RAM and a smaller screen, but you will notice that in tests the RAM difference is practically imperceptible, but the iPad tablet still runs iOS 3.2.2, which does not have multitasking.

The video above was made by those from iSpazio who had the opportunity to test the Dell Streak for a few weeks. From the performance point of view, the 3 products are almost equal, each of them having its pluses and minuses. The iPhone 4 has a hard time loading web pages compared to the Dell Streak, but on the other hand it takes much better pictures and loads games faster, so it all depends on everyone's tastes and needs.

Would I buy a Dell Streak? In no case, if I want a smartphone I buy something with a maximum of 4 inches and if I want a tablet I buy an iPad or maybe a laptop and that's it. Dell Streak is fixed between these product categories and is not ideal for watching movies/surfing the web, but neither for talking on the phone and it is big enough to fit in a pocket, so I for one could not recommend it to anyone .
