Samsung Galaxy Tab in Orange

Yesterday, Orange Romania launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab in offer own, but to be honest, it is one that will probably make many people think twice before making the purchase. Orange has decided to sell the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet in its own network at the price of €2 together with the Colibri 350 subscription of €35 per month! Yes, so if you want to buy such a tablet from Orange you have to pay around 35 lei for it and to sign a subscription of approximately 1500 lei per month for 140 years. Doing a simple calculation, you will notice that the final price of the tablet jumps to 2€, but let's not forget that we have a Colibri subscription that offers us:

  • unlimited traffic
    • the first 15 GB at speeds of up to 14,4 Mbps
    • after the first 15 GB speeds up to 128 Kbps
    • 100 SMS in the network, monthly
  • Happy Night and Cost Control options included
  • upload speed up to 1,46 Mbps
  • mobile voice calls
  • bonus 60 minutes for video calls on the network and 30 MMS

The subscription offers Internet traffic "as much as it includes" at theoretical speeds of up to 14,4 Mbps, but in reality I doubt that you will reach at least 4 Mbps regardless of your location. In addition to the Internet, there are also some SMS and 60 minutes for video calls on the network plus 30 MMS, but no national/network minutes, although the tablet still has a telephone function.

Orange does not yet have an iPad tablet in its offer, but it will more than likely bring it soon, but I don't know if I want to think at what prices it will be available.
