FaceTime can be enabled on iPhone 3GS! Here's how.

Yesterday I wrote an article in which said that the FaceTime function was also activated for iPhone 3GS owners, but the tweak was not available in Cydia and the terminal's camera could not be used for calls. Well, since yesterday and until today the situation has changed because the tweak that activates the FaceTime function on the iPhone 3GS appeared in Cydia, but the new version of the tweak gives us the opportunity to use the 3GS camera to make calls. Notice from the video clip above that images are displayed on the screens of both terminals: on the iPhone 4 only images captured by the rear camera of the iPhone 3GS terminal and on the iPhone 3GS images either from the front camera or from the rear camera of the iPhone 4 terminal .

This tweak is definitely one of the most important achievements of the iPhone community for this end of the year (we exclude jailbreak and decoding here) because it brings a very important function for iPhone 3GS users. It is true that it is quite inconvenient to use iPhone 3GS with FaceTime, but it is good to have the possibility to choose whether we want to do this or not. The tweak was tested by me and it works without any problem and the activation is as simple as it is presented in that video clip.

To activate the FaceTime function on the iPhone 3GS, all you have to do is add the source to Cydia http://apps.iphoneislam.com, to install the tweak FaceIT-3GS and reset the terminal. Unfortunately, the activation of the FaceTime function requires compliance with the same rules as for the iPhone 4, that is, it will work 100% safely from Orange, it will work 50% from Vodafone if you use the application My Time,it will not work at all on DiGi and Cosmote and is only compatible with iOS 4.1. Cheers to the chat!
