In July of this year, I wrote an article in which said that Samsung is working on a new flexible screen that it could implement in its future mobile terminals. It seems that the team working on this project succeeded fabrice some functional prototypes that will be presented at a conference that will take place in Japan this week. We are talking about a flexible 4.5-inch AMOLED screen prototype with a resolution of 800 x 640 pixels on which Samsung would base part of its development strategy in the coming years.

Although in theory everything seems very promising, in reality the applications of such a screen are limited by the existing technology for the general public at the present time. Although the respective screen is flexible, it still needs a source of energy and a source of data that will certainly be fixed and will not be that small. I don't see how Samsung could use this screen in mobile terminals, but for other applications it would certainly prove useful.
