Samsung continues to innovate and improve its device portfolio with new AI features. Recently, a Samsung employee in Korea confirmed on an official forum that starting next month, the One UI 6.1 update will include advanced Galaxy AI features, not only for the Galaxy S22 series, as previously speculated, but also for a range of wide range of products launched by Samsung in 2021 and 2022.
Samsung has limited access to certain AI features for its flagship devices, such as the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy Tab S8 FE, which will not be eligible for the latest upgrades. However, this new update opens up the possibility for more than a dozen devices to benefit from Samsung's AI innovations.
According to the new information, the 2022 devices will receive AI functions comparable to those of the Galaxy S23 FE model. This means that while not all features are available on all devices, Samsung is committed to providing an enhanced experience to its users.
Samsung Intends to Bring GALAXY AI to Older Phones as well
It's important to note that unlike the Galaxy S23 FE, certain features like "Instant Slow-Mo" will be missing from the lower budget devices.
Devices that will benefit from the AI upgrade include:
- Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
Samsung will also introduce select AI features to some devices launched in 2021, including the flagship Galaxy S21 series and foldable devices of the year. They will support features like Circle to Search and "Magic Rewrite," which could be a cloud-based adaptation of Generative Edit.
Samsung is strengthening its market position through an inclusive strategy, offering significant updates for a wide range of devices. Through these upgrades, Samsung aims to provide its users with an improved experience, optimized through artificial intelligence. The One UI 6.1 update is expected to be available starting in early May, reinforcing Samsung's commitment to maintaining a product portfolio at the highest standards of modern technology.
