iOS 4.2 GM has been available for a while now and this version is actually the final version that will be available to everyone in a few days/weeks, so the folks at TiPB have decided to install it on an iPhone 3G and film the way the terminal works with this new version of iOS. You all know that the iPhone 3G works incredibly hard on iOS 4.x, in fact the performance is so terrible that some Americans have decided to sue Apple due to these problems. Apple promised that iOS 4.1 would solve the situation, but unfortunately that was not the case, but soon iOS 4.2 will be available and it seems that Apple seems to have greatly improved the performance of the iPhone 3G terminal.

The operating system doesn't run as well as on an iPhone 3GS or an iPhone 4, but it works much better than on iOS 4 or iOS 4.1, so it's a big step forward for all iPhone 3G owners. Note that in general the applications respond well to commands, surfing the Internet is quite cumbersome but much more fluid than before and all in all probably the owners of the iPhone 3G terminal will be satisfied. To be objective, I don't even think that Apple can optimize iOS 4.2 because the iPhone 3G is very limited in terms of hardware, so it was expected that this operating system would work hard.
