iOS 4.2 is very close to the final release and TiPB made 2 videos in which PRESENTS the news that this version of iOS will bring for iPhone and iPad terminals. First of all, we are talking about the iPhone and the most important news are:
- AirPrint – the possibility to print via Wi-Fi;
- the new SMS tones;
- the volume slider in the multitasking menu;
- the ability to search for words in Safari;
- performance improvement for iPhone 3G/3GS/4.
Secondly, we have the iPad tablet for which Apple has worked the most and practically iOS 4.2 was made especially to bring the entire operating system to tablets that are currently still running iOS 3.2.2. For the iPad, the most important news are:
- absolutely all the news from iOS 4.0 - 4.1 are included in iOS 4.2: multitasking, fast app switching, folders, wallpapers, Game Center, everything we have now will be available for iPad tablet users;
- AirPrint – the possibility to print via Wi-Fi;
- AirPlay – the ability to stream audio/video via Wi-Fi to different compatible devices;
- the orientation lock will be done from iOS and the side button will be used to turn off the sound of the tablet;
- adding a button in the multitasking bar for setting the screen brightness.
Of course, these are only some of the most important news, but for the iPad tablet there will be much more, but unfortunately for iPhone users, what I have listed above is all that Apple is preparing for us, and let's not forget, of course, the new baseband which will be decoded after iOS 4.2 appears.
