Apple goes to war with the mobile phone operators, iPhone prices could increase

Last month I wrote a article in which we were talking about a technology that Apple could implement in future iPhone models, technology that will allow the sale of iPhone terminals with an integrated SIM. This integrated SIM would have information about all telephone operators, so the customer would only have to choose his favorite operator from a list and he would be able to use the terminal with it without any problem. This technology could definitively eliminate the need to have several cards for different operators and perhaps several phones "at once" to have access to the networks of several mobile operators.

According to those from Financial Times, European operators are against this technology and threaten Apple that they will no longer sell iPhone terminals at subsidized prices if the company decides to use this technology. Of course, mobile phone operators fear that as soon as Apple starts selling decoded terminals and customers will have the freedom to use any operator, they will no longer be able to force them to sign contracts for long periods of time. Once you have the option to use the terminal on any network without any restrictions, it seems that it is more difficult to "bind" for 1/2 years with an operator just to save €2-300 on the price.

Among the operators who declared that they are against this measure are Vodafone from Great Britain and France Telecom (which as far as I know owns Orange Romania), so 2 of the giants of the international telecom market. I, for one, would like to see an iPhone that gives us the opportunity to use it on absolutely any network we want by simply selecting the operator from the menu.
