The iPad tablet will be sold in Great Britain through the Orange and T-Mobile operators at subsidized and very advantageous prices for customers. Orange is the first UK operator to announce official prices for the iPad tablet and to be honest, they are very very advantageous for the British:
- £199/€234 – iPad 3G 16GB with 2-year internet subscription of £27/€31;
- £249/€293 – iPad 3G 32GB with 2-year internet subscription of £27/€31;
- £349/€411 – iPad 3G 64GB with 2-year internet subscription of £27/€31;
The internet subscription includes 1GB of traffic at any time, 1GB of traffic at night plus another 3GB of traffic through the network of Wi-Fi HotSpots in Great Britain. In short, 4GB internet plus a very substantial discount on the iPad tablet if you sign a 2-year contract. Looking from our perspective with the salaries here it may seem a lot, but looking from their perspective it is very advantageous to buy an iPad tablet at this price in Great Britain, especially since they are decoded from the factory.
Soon the iPad tablet will be available at other operators in Europe, maybe it will arrive in Romania someday, but do you think we will see something similar in price here? I do not think so.
