As you well know from last night's article, Dev Team can't decode 05.14.02 and 05.15.04 basebands from iOS 4.1/4.2.1, but found a method to decode iPad tablet baseband which is 100% compatible with iPhone 3G/3GS. The new version of ultrasn0w 1.2 decodes the following basebands:
- 04.26.08;
- 05.11.07;
- 05.12.01;
- 05.13.04;
- 06.15.00.
If you have an iPhone 3G/3GS with a baseband between the values presented above, then you must use it this tutorial to jailbreak, baseband update and decoding!
This baseband update also has some repercussions on you and on future versions of iOS. First of all, after you update the baseband at 06.15.00 you will never be able to downgrade, no matter what terminal you have! Secondly, if Apple introduces in a future version of iOS a method to check your baseband, there is a possibility that you will not be able to update with the current baseband. Thirdly, there is the possibility that your warranty will be canceled if it is discovered that you have iPad baseband on your phone.
The good part is that you won't be able to lose decoding if Apple releases versions of iOS with a baseband lower than 06.15.00 because you won't be able to install those baseband versions. I hope you understand what it is about and will act accordingly.
