Apple may open the Mac AppStore on December 13

Although it was rumored that it would be released on December 13 iOS 4.3 together with a new magazine specially made for the iPad tablet, so finally on December 13 we may witness opening Mac AppStore. At the last press conference where Apple presented the next version of Mac OS X, Lion, Steve Jobs announced that soon the company will open a Mac AppStore that will allow Mac OS X users to use applications in the same way as iOS users . From November 3, Apple accepts applications for the Mac AppStore, and although it was initially said that it would take around 90 days to open it, Apple is forcing an early launch before Christmas.

An inside source has just told us that Apple is targeting a Monday, December 13th launch of the Mac App Store. The company apparently told developers to have their software prepared for a launch as early as Monday the 6th of this month, but our contact would be shocked if that happened at this point. Apple has made no official announcements regarding this, and delays could always happen, but there's a push to be launched before Christmas, well ahead of the previously estimated January release.

Last week Apple released Mac OS X 10.6.6 for developers and it seems that this new version of Mac OS X will be necessary to be able to run applications from the AppStore. The launch of this beta version indicates that Apple is thinking of launching the Mac AppStore soon, however, it remains to be seen if the tests will proceed normally and users will not report too many problems.

Are there people among you who are waiting for the opening of this AppStore?
