In the video clip above we have a short one insight regarding the number of tablet PCs available in Romania, the amounts spent by Romanians for applications and Angry Birds aka Nervous birds(btw pigs are green) presented as one of the Romanians' favorite games. According to this article, there are approximately 20.000 tablets in Romania, several million smartphones and Romanians spend hundreds of thousands of euros monthly on applications.

The last statement seems very interesting to me considering that Romanians cannot purchase applications from the Android Market (last time I checked) and the developers of applications for the AppStore complain that they do not make money. In the AppStore, it is enough to have 10-15 purchases for an application to reach the top of the most purchased, so it is very hard to believe that the AppStore generates sales of at least €100.000 per month. I'm not even talking about the Ovi Store or the BlackBerry store because I doubt that they can generate such high monthly sales.

Yes, there are Romanian companies that produce applications for the AppStore, but the most important ones produce applications for foreigners and yes, they bring a lot of money. I, for one, find it hard to believe that Romanians spend hundreds of thousands of euros on applications for smartphones/tablets, especially since the idea of piracy is rooted in our country and many of those who have smartphones have no idea how to use them.

The applications made in 5 minutes have the greatest "success" and that is why the AppStore generates so many sales. If all developers followed this logic, then the AppStore would reach the level of the Android Market.

What do you think, do we spend hundreds of thousands of euros on applications or are we only talking about the advertisement made by the companies of the application developers?
