Apple no longer asks for money from customers who return products

Apple has a policy very interesting for customers who want to return products purchased from the company, receiving the products back, giving the money to the customers but blocking 10% of the amount as a return commission. Few companies have such a policy and for Apple it is a good one because it can sell those products as refurbished to AT&T, for example. Well, this policy of Apple will end starting on Tuesday, when the company will no longer withhold the 10% charged as a return fee and will give the full money back to customers. If until now Apple accepts products that were not in the best conditions, I doubt that we will see the same goodwill if money is no longer withheld for returns.

It is interesting that the waiver of this money retention policy will be implemented on the very day when Verizon will present the iPhone 4 CDMA terminal in New York. I have the impression that Apple is preparing to change the terminals for a number of customers who will probably change their minds about choosing the operator AT&T and will want to switch to Verizon.
