Will Apple remove the Home button from iDevices?

iOS 4.3 beta 1 brings some very important changes for the iPad tablet, more precisely we are talking about the addition of new gestures that practically eliminate the functionality of the Home button. Apple has added gestures for "4 and 5 fingers" with the help of which users can open the task switcher where the applications open in the background are displayed, they can exit an application or switch from one application to another. Website BGR.com claims that the introduction of these gestures is due to the desire of those from Apple to remove the Home button from the configuration of iDevices or at least of the iPad tablet.

We have exclusively been told that the reason Apple just added multitouch gestures for the iPad in the latest iOS 4.3 beta is because the iPad will be losing the home button. Yes, we are told that Apple, at some point in time, will remove the home button from the iPad's design. Instead of button taps, you will use new multitouch gestures to navigate to the home screen and also to launch the app switcher.

Concidering problems with the Home button that some users of the iPhone 4 terminal experience, I would say that this possibility seems quite plausible. I don't think that the iPad 2 will come without a Home button and I don't think that the iPhone 5 will come without a Home button, but if it is removed, the iDevices will remain without a defining component of their image.

What do you think, will the buttons be removed from iDevices or not?

UPDATED: According to the same website BGR.com, it seems that some Apple employees are already testing iDevices without Home buttons.

UPDATE 2: This is how an iPhone 4 would look without the Home button. Thanks Toni for the picture.
