Scosche myTrek is a very interesting device with help whose heartbeat we can monitor using only an iPhone and a dedicated application. The device is equipped with optical LED sensors that monitor the heartbeat as soon as they are positioned on the wrist, on the elbow and transmit information to the application on the iPhone. The connection between the device and the terminal is made using Bluetooth and it is quite interesting how this device monitors everything, basically you put it on your wrist and it receives the pulsations of your veins which it then transmits to the application which will indicate your heart beats per minute.
The Scosche myTrek costs $149.99, but I say it's pretty useful to have around.
