I told you a few weeks ago that Gameloft made a new game for iDevices that is strikingly similar to the famous Blizzard StarCraft series. Well, this game was published 2 days ago in the AppStore, it is available for purchase and in the clip above we have a small trailer in which the main "races", game modes, etc. are presented. I can't say that I agree with the way Gameloft protects these successful series, but the game looks interesting and worth testing, especially on an iPad tablet. Apple chose this game as the "game of the week" and this is an additional reason to at least test its lite version.
Starting with Sacred Odyssey, Gameloft has chosen to launch free games but with limited functionality that can be completely unlocked through the in-app, giving users access to all game functionalities. This is a way to fight against piracy and I have the impression that many if not all of Gameloft's games will be built in a similar way. One of the most interesting aspects of this game is the possibility to play in multiplayer with up to 5 friends, so you will be able to play 2 vs 2 matches directly from your iDevices.
