Angry Birds will soon become one of the best SALE game franchises in the world, being in the company of games such as FIFA, The Sims, Tetris or Need For Speed. During the Game Developers Conference 2011, Rovio's CEO announced that Angry Birds is approaching the 100 millionth download, and here we include downloads made on all platforms where the game is available. It is interesting that only 4 months ago Angry Birds reached the limit of approximately 30 million downloads, but the versions for Android, WebOS, Windows, PSP, PlayStation, and Mac OS X increased the download rate extremely much.
"People were saying we were crazy when we set that target last year," said Rovio's Peter Vesterbacka at the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco. "Now, well what can I say? We are doing that."
To be honest, I think that the Angry Birds franchise is still far from reaching its true potential and in these months the company will conclude other key partnerships for the development of the game both virtually and in the real world.
