Last week, Twitter launched an update for iOS device owners, an update that brought one of the most "annoying" functions: the ability to see the "hottest" topics on Twitter. A lot of people criticized Twitter for including the trend bar in the application, a developer having the idea of making a plugin called Twizzlers which removes that bar. Today the company launched a new update that slightly modified the functionality of the respective trend bar in the sense that it is now positioned above the search box in the first menu and no longer automatically updates trending topics.
Here's everything new Twitter 3.3.1 brings:
- Fixes crashing some users have been seeing on launch and with location services
- Updated Quick Bar default behavior to not overlap tweets in timeline
- Security fixes
- Improved performance for users with many accounts
