iOS 4.3.1 available in the next 2 weeks

BGR, the main source of correct rumors regarding the release of new versions of iOS, now comes with new information, this time about iOS 4.3.1. It was rumored last week that Apple could release iOS 4.3.1 to "cover" the vulnerability used in the Pwn2Own contest to exploit an iPhone 4, and now the information is confirmed. In the next 2 weeks, it is very possible to have iOS 4.3.1 available through iTunes, the new version of iOS will represent a minor update, but one that solves some rather important problems:

  • baseband update for iPhone 3GS and iPad;
  • solving some problems related to system blocking due to memory errors displayed when large files are accessed from the USIM filesystem;
  • solving problems with NTLM authentication from certain applications and for certain websites;
  • solving problems with applications and Springboard that do not recognize the gyroscope in iPad 2;
  • solving the vulnerability used to jailbreak the iPad 2.

Of course, the information is presented with the title of rumor, but it is detailed enough to show us that Apple plans to release iOS 4.3.1 in the near future.
