iPad 2 with Retina Display would have destroyed the competition

Since I have iPhone 4, I've gotten used to a different way of looking at iOS graphics. I also have an iPhone 3GS, but I look at it so rarely that I don't even notice the graphics, but the iPad/iPad 2 shows the difference best. If you have an iPhone 4 and an iPad or iPad 2 tablet, you will easily notice how pixelated the icons look compared to the iPhone 4. Any icon on the screen of the iPad/iPad 2 tablet looks much better and clearer on Retina Display. We are of course talking about the number of pixels per inch of the screens and not about the resolution itself. on the iPhone 4, the number of pixels per inch is higher than on the iPad tablet, and this can be seen very easily.

It was explained that the screen of the iPad tablet would be very close to the Retina Display, but in reality when we talk about icons the situation is different. Of course, these differences also apply to web pages or games, and everything is due to the number of pixels per inch. Personally, I think that an iPad tablet with Retina Display would have "destroyed" the competition, but Apple is preparing something like this for next year.
