AirFrame allows AirPlay streaming between iDevices

AirFrame is a new application recently launched in the AppStore that allows iDevice owners to stream via AirPlay from one iDevice to another. AirFrame is not the first application of this kind and it certainly won't be the last, but it is a viable alternative for those who want it. Apple does not officially allow this kind of streaming between iDevices, but by installing AirFrame on an iPhone and an iPad tablet we will be able to stream from one terminal to the other. For the whole process to work, the terminals must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. AirFrame also allows streaming from a computer with iTunes to an iDevices, all of course through the same Wi-Fi network.

Here are the functions of AirFrame:

  • This version does not support music streaming.
  • iOS devices must be connected to the same WiFi network.
  • AirFrame does not stream protected video content.
  • Sending device must be running iOS 4.2.1 or newer.

The application is available in the AppStore for €1.59.
