Those from Panasonic are starting to understand how to do marketing in the style of those from Apple and they did it application with augmented reality that completely changes the way we look at choosing a TV. Panasonic VIERA AR Setup Simulator is the name of the app and as you can see from the video clip above it allows users to see how a TV would look in their room before buying it. Basically, you open the application, direct the terminal camera to the place where you want to put the TV, select the model of the TV and the application will display it on the screen in that place.
Interestingly, the application allows us to watch the TV in the new location from various angles, but also to take a picture to show others. It seems to me to be a brilliant idea on the part of Panasonic and probably others will implement it in the near future for their own products. The application is free in the AppStore.
