Software-oriented Apple will present many new features for iOS 5 at WWDC

Those from AppleInsider read today an informative note sent by an American financial analyst who had the opportunity to talk with certain members of Apple's management. We are talking about: Peter Oppenheimer – CFO of Apple, Eddy Cue – VP of the internet services department, Ron Johnson – Senior VP of the retail department. During this meeting, Apple executives reiterated the idea that product launches are closely related to the software available for them, more precisely, hardware follows software. The company focuses on product release cycles dependent on the available software and not on the hardware itself.

Fresh off a meeting with senior executives at Apple, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty said the company sees product cycles as being driven by software rather than hardware and is expected to announce major software updates at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. Given the software emphasis, Huberty suggested that "major feature/function updates" will come at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference, which runs from June 6 through June 10 in San Francisco.

At the WWDC 2011 conference on June 6, Apple will present iOS 5, Mac OS X Lion, 2 operating systems that will undergo major changes according to the American analyst. If we are to take things as presented then iOS 5 will bring many new functions but these must also be supported by a product with capable hardware. In this idea, the launch of iPhone 5 in the summer could be supported so that iOS 5 can be used to its true potential on an iPhone with capable hardware. In general, Apple releases new operating systems with certain functions available only on a newly launched product at that time.

If iOS 5 will bring a lot of new functions, then it is also necessary to launch a new iPhone terminal on which all these functions can be used. Launching an iOS 5 in the summer without an iPhone 5 terminal would be more than useless.
