ECS presents the first tablet dock for iPhone 4

Yesterday we were talking about Asus Pad Phone, a tablet dock for an Asus smartphone. The concept is simple, the smartphone remains a smartphone but the tablet is actually a dock where you put the smartphone and based on a connection you see the image of your phone on the dock screen. The idea caught on very well, but it was not the only dock tablet concept presented yesterday because the company ECS presented an identical one that also works with the iPhone 4. The ECS tablet dock is able to take the image from the iPhone 4 via HDMI and display it on the built-in 9.7-inch screen. The ECS tablet comes with a front camera, built-in HDMI, SD and USB ports, so you have everything you need directly in the tablet.

The ECS concept is interesting, but it remains to be seen how well it will work with iPhone terminals. The even more attractive part is that this dock tablet can work with several models of smartphones with various operating systems, so you could use it both with an iPhone and with a terminal running Android. The ECS dock tablet would cost around $200, a more than attractive price considering that an iPad tablet costs $500 in the US.
