Gameloft published yesterday a series of new information about the characters in the 9mm game plus the scenario based on which the entire action will take place. I already told you that 9mm is the newest Gameloft game inspired by the famous Grand Theft Auto series and the official release should take place next month. The game is centered around a policeman fighting gangs in an American city, a typical scenario for an action movie made in Hollywood. 9mm attracted me and I'm sure I'm not the only one, so here's how the whole action will unfold and a short presentation for 2 of the main characters.

John "Loose" Kannon is the leader of The Squad, a special team of hardened cops that aren't afraid to bend the law to clean up the streets.
But when they kill a local drug lord's brother and steal millions in cash, Kannon's whole team becomes a target of revenge. Now Kannon has only one option: Take down the gang leader that's hunting them, legally or not, before his team gets taken out first.
John "Loose Cannon"
John "Loose" Kannon is the cocky and idealistic leader of his own team of cops. He grew up in the middle of a gang war, which forced him to toughen up at an early age. He is disillusioned about the system and sees himself as a modern-day Robin Hood, with a touch of "what's in it for me?" He believes he and his friends deserve more compensation for the danger they endure day after day.
His obsession with putting away criminals has also ruined his personal life. His constant absence and unpredictable rage forced his wife to leave him and take their daughter. Now, he'll do whatever it takes to keep them safe.
Sergio Spallina
Sergio Spalina is bloodthirsty, greedy and wicked by nature. Deep inside, he doesn't really understand Kannon's crusade against crime. If it were up to him, his team would have kept all the money they found from drug busts for themselves.
Nevertheless, Spalina is loyal to Kannon, who took him under his wing when Spalina was in hot water and accused of being a crooked cop. Since then, the two have saved each other's lives many times. Kannon knows Spalina is smarter than he lets on and trusts him to solve any problem.
But that trust may be breaking down. Spalina has grown tired of following Kannon's lead, and he may be ready to turn on his mentor in exchange for his own life and freedom.
And finally the soundtrack of the game, a key element that the Gameloft producers are proud of.
Music plays a key role in telling Kannon's story. It does more than just evoke an emotion or pump you up for the action; the music here has to set the entire tone of a game about fighting corruption, protecting people and making the best of an imperfect world.
