95% of iPhone terminals in Germany run iOS 4

An advertising company from Germany published today a graphic in which highlight the way in which iOS 4 was adopted by the owners of iPhone terminals in that country. According to them, 95% of iPhone owners in Germany have iOS 4 installed on their terminal, 4% still have iOS 3 and only 0.17% run iOS 2. Considering that we are talking about a country where there are probably over 10 million terminals iPhone, we can say that iOS 4 has a very good adoption rate one year after its official release.

Making a comparison with Android, where manufacturers have to release each a special version of a new version of Android, the new versions of iOS are installed much faster by users thanks to the system developed by Apple. Basically, Apple offers an update for all users at the same time, and those who want to update, and those who don't want to, don't. It seems that iOS 4 convinced many to update and I assume that the 4% who still have iOS 3 mostly have iPhone 3G terminals.
