Apple modifies the Taiwan App Store regulations, allowing the return of applications within 7 days

A few weeks ago I told you that Apple was obliged by the government of Taiwan to offer those who buy applications from the App Store the possibility to ask for the money on the applications within a maximum of 7 days from the purchase. Apple complied, announced that will do this change and here it is that yesterday in the terms and conditions for App Store Taiwan it was specified that any purchased application can be returned within a maximum of 7 days from the purchase. Apple only asks users to delete all copies of the respective application from the computer without establishing additional conditions for the return of the money.

You may cancel your purchase within seven (7) days from the date of delivery and iTunes will reimburse you for the amount paid, provided you inform iTunes that you have deleted all copies of the product. Upon cancellation you will no longer be licensed to use the product. This right cannot be waived.

The situation is unprecedented for Apple, which does not have such rules for any other App Store in the world, but it offers money back to customers who bought the application by mistake or cannot use it because it does not work properly. So far, no other state has shown interest in forcing Apple to change its rules and conditions regarding the return of money for purchased applications, and if no one will do it, then Apple will not change them willingly either.

Would you like to be able to ask for money back on a purchased application? We are of course talking about a request that must be accepted by Apple under another condition than the one by which you are asked to delete the application from the computer.
