Verizon USA has not announced an iPhone 5 release date

You would probably think that Apple would announce its American partners about the launch of iPhone terminals before the general public does so. If you think so then you are wrong because Verizon was not notified by Apple when the iPhone 5 will be released. Verizon COO discussed in an interview about the company's recent financial results and revealed that the American operator expected the launch of the iPhone 5 to take place in the summer and not in the fall as it will happen now.

We had assumed that we would see an iPhone early in the summertime as it's been usually, and that's going to be a little bit later in the year now. We are probably what I would view as maybe a quarter behind what we had talked about in January, primarily because we expected an iPhone 5 refresh sometime this summer.

We don't know when the next one is going to come out. You will have to ask Apple that, but we expect that probably sometime in the fall, and I think you will see a significant jump there when we get to that point.

Those from Verizon don't seem to know when the autumn launch will take place, but if you think that the operators have been informed but they don't say anything, then I'm announcing that the iPhone 4 arrived at Verizon for tests just 2 weeks before the launch. It is possible that Apple will notify the operators about the launch only 2-3 weeks before, giving them enough time to prepare their subscription offers. If Verizon USA does not know the release date of the iPhone 5 then we can draw a simple conclusion, only Apple and the insiders know and the operators only make assumptions.
