Video: SkyFire VideoQ – a new way to view flash videos on iDevices

I assume you all know about the SkyFire browser that allows us to view videos in flash format directly on our iDevices. Considering that the main browser was so successful, SkyFire made an adjacent application that works exactly the same but allows us to see the video clips in flash format at a later date after finding them. Basically, let's say that now you find a video clip but you don't want to watch it because you are connected via 3G, in this case send an email to video@skyfire.com with the page where the clip is located and in the Skyfire VideoQ application you will be able to watch it that video clip later when you reach a Wi-Fi network.

With Skyfire VideoQ, iPhone & iPad users can finally access video designed for Adobe® Flash® Player from Safari, Opera and other previously unsupported mobile browsers. Skyfire VideoQ unlocks videos designed for Adobe® Flash® Player regardless of the mobile browser, allowing users to forward previously unwatchable videos from over 1 million websites directly to the app. Users can also use the Skyfire VideoQ as a locker to store videos for later viewing and sharing. Users have several easy options for sending videos to the VideoQ app from their browser of choice. A user can email the Web link to their unique VideoQ email address, paste a Web link into the app, or install a bookmarklet, which forwards videos to the VideoQ app for future viewing.

The application is not revolutionary, but it allows users to prepare a series of video clips in flash format that they can watch later when they have time/need. The application is available for both iPhone and iPad, it must be purchased and requires the registration of a user name based on the email so that SkyFire knows who keeps the video clips for. Those who have tested it claim that the playback of video content is not that great, but if you don't like SkyFire, I recommend it Puffin which I have been using without problems for several weeks.

Unfortunately, the application is currently only available in the USA and you can download it from here if you have an account in the American App Store.
