Those from EA Games announced today on the Twitter account of the Need for Speed game that the Shift 2 version will be released in the App Store during August. At the moment, the Shift version has been available for iDevice owners for almost a year, and it seems that Apple intends to bring us the latest version of one of the most popular racing games. Those from EA Games announce that the game will have no less than 40 cars and 40 races available plus the recently launched Pagani Huayara car and of course the possibility to play in multiplayer via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
The most immersive, action packed simulation racer hits the app store this August! SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED for mobile features a deep career that has over 40 events, 40 cars including the Pagani Huayra, local multiplayer over WiFi or Bluetooth and the all-new Helmet camera view.
This past weekend at Formula Drift – Throwdown, we were lucky enough to get hooked up with a couple of iPads that had the game on it. After we finished setting up the Team Need for Speed Electro Lounge I took some time to check it out and had so much fun with it. The game is awesome! It looks great and is super easy to just drop in and start playing. The controls are so finely tuned that I had no problem putting in a competitive race the first time I tried it. I enjoyed it so much that I was reluctant to put it down for other people to play. If you're a fan of racing on your mobile than this is the game for you.
In addition to all the great features listed above, SHIFT 2 for mobile also features full vehicle customization, online leaderboards, tons of tracks & locations all with multiple track configurations, and best of all, when you register for Origin to unlock the leaderboards you' ll also be hooked up with bonus in-game cash and all-new exclusive cup events!
