SMS+ 1.0.6 update available, brings many new features

SMS+ is a new tweak for iOS available for almost a week in Cydia that significantly improves the experience of using the Messages application in iOS by adding a series of functions that would not normally be available natively. The tweak borrows these functions from applications such as iRealSMS or BiteSMS, but implements them natively in the Messages application so that we do not have to open another separate application to benefit from them. Information about the SMS+ functions can be found in This article and below you have the news brought by the 1.0.6 update released last night in the App Store:

  • new option to ask for confirmation when sending a message inside the app.
  • enable/disable "Later" button in the SMS popup.
  • ability to double tap on the message popup to start message speaking
  • ability to disable the Status Bar icon for the "Later" feature.
  • improved security for the App Locking feature: if the app is locked, you will be asked for the passcode even when launching it from the switcher bar or from the SMS alert.
  • improved settings section

Fixed:

  • searching contacts in quick compose not case sensitive anymore
  • not playing any kind of notification in the lockscreen
  • not working at all on the iPhone 3G (big thanks to David Ashman)

SMS+ is available in Cydia for $1.99 in the BigBoss repo.
