Last evening iH8sn0w released the seventh beta version of the sn0wbreeze program that allows iDevice owners to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 7 using a custom ipsw. The new version of the program brings absolutely nothing new apart from compatibility with iOS 5 beta 7, so we will be able to install the operating system without a registered UDID and without worrying about the expiration date. sn0wbreeze still hacks and keeps the baseband intact, but the jailbreak remains tethered and incompatible with the iPad 2 tablet.
Here are the terminals compatible with sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 7:
- iPhone 3GS – old bootrom – untethered jailbreak;
- iPhone 3GS – new bootrom;
- iPhone 4;
- iPad 1;
- iPod Touch 3G;
- iPod Touch 4.
