Apple registers patents that show interest in implementing iMessage in iChat

Last week we told you that inside the system files of iOS 5 there are lines of code that indicate that Apple is interested to implement the iMessage system in the iChat application on Mac OS X. Then everything was just a few months of code, but on the same day the company from Cupertino sent for registration 3 patents that reveals his intentions. In these 3 patents, Apple describes a method by which text messages, videos or even pictures can be sent to computers using special software and of course iMessage is the first thing that comes to anyone's mind.

Implementing iMessage in iChat would give the Cupertino company a complete platform for its products. Users could send text messages, pictures or video clips from a Mac to an iDevice and vice versa, and for now no mobile terminal manufacturer offers something similar. Samsung plans to launch a similar platform that requires the use of a website to interact with the owners of mobile terminals, so Apple would have a big advantage in the end. Unfortunately, the system is still far from being implemented, but if Apple is in a hurry, then it is possible to have it available at the beginning of next year.
