See Romania from above - my flight with an ultralight balloon

Week I was telling you that Orange Romania is running a very nice campaign which offers people the opportunity to win an extremely interesting balloon trip. Even then I told you that I will participate in this campaign and I will rise above Romania to tell you the experience behind such a trip. Well, on Sunday morning we started together with the people from Orange and the bloggers Razvan Pascu, Cristina Bazavan si Costin Cocioaba to a location near the Mihailesti dam where the two balloons of the Romanian company were waiting for us.

When I got there, I saw an ultra-light balloon up close for the first time and I was only thinking how I would get through a flight over Romania in a device that seemed so fragile. Unfortunately, in the morning of Sunday, the wind was making its head and we were warned by John Balloon, the man we have to thank for the whole experience and for the noble titles that I will talk about below, because there is a possibility that our flight will not take place because of the wind that was not very cooperative. To show us what effect a flight could have at that time, he inflated a balloon, let it go and in just a few seconds we saw it flying a few tens of meters away from us, at which point we realized what was waiting for us when we will start our journey.

Fortunately the wind stopped, we all gathered courage and got into the 2 balloons and in a few minutes we were already flying over the plains in the area. I had the opportunity to fly with Razvan Pascu and a veteran pilot who gave me one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. From takeoff to landing, I felt that time stood still, even though we were flying at about 25 km/h, and the 30 minutes of flight passed much faster than I could have imagined. I thought I would be afraid, I thought I would be sorry, but in the balloon you don't feel anything, not even the breeze and you have the opportunity to see a very beautiful panoramic image of Romania, which we treat with so much indifference .

I had the opportunity to see deer flying right below us, 2 hang gliders coming close enough for the pilots to shake our hands, a sunrise from 300 meters altitude and all without ever feeling the fear that people experience during a flight.

The balloon ride was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life and I thank the people at Orange for this opportunity. At the end of the trip, we participated in a small ceremony dedicated to those who fly for the first time with the balloon, a ceremony in which our motto was "cut", we were sprinkled with champagne and each of us was offered the noble title of Count/Countess of Milcovatu ( the location where we landed) by "king" John Balon.

I recommend you to sign up for the campaign "See Romania from above" of those from Orange because if you are chosen you will have the opportunity to make an extraordinary trip, perhaps unique in your life.
