Apple launches the Cards and Find My Friends applications for iOS 5

This evening Apple launched 2 new applications for its users, one called Cards and one called Find My Friends. The Cards application allows users to send postcards to friends or relatives directly from their own iDevice. Apple has made some templates that users can use and we just have to enter the message and a picture for the desired postcard. For now the service is available for $2.99 to send a postcard in the US and $4.99 to send a postcard abroad and theoretically anyone can use it.

Find My Friends is the second service launched by Apple and it allows users to find their friends using the Maps application, wherever they are. We have heard about Find My Friends so many times in the past, but Apple has only now decided to launch the service and everything should work exactly as it does in a social network. We invite our friends to show us their location for a certain period of time, we show them our location and we can find each other very simply and easily. Apple IDs will definitely be used as usernames and with the help of Find My Friends you will be able to find your friends anywhere, only if they want to.
