Siri - censorship and how an imperfect system can be improved

Probably few of you know this, but Apple values family values very much and tries to offer users the best content in the App Store. In order to protect minors, Apple refused to include pornography in the App Store and prohibits applications in which obscene words are used. In iOS there is a special menu where users can block almost anything from their terminals and Siri is of course included. Users can block Siri altogether or block the display of obscene words and as you can see in the image above, swearing is simply censored. Probably anything can be censored in Siri, but this option seems really useless to me.

Moving on to serious things in the morning I presented you the video clip from above in which Siri respringed an iPhone 4S by simply saying a command. This is practically an extremely important function of Siri, a limited function now but a function that in the future could change the way we communicate with Apple's assistant. Practically, Siri cannot open applications, websites, cannot download applications, books or music, but the existence of that function indicates that this is possible. Apple will sooner or later implement voice commands that allow the Siri assistant to do everything I said above and once it does it will turn the iPhone 4S into a device that many will want to have in their pocket .

On the other hand, the problem of recognizing voice commands must also be taken into account, a problem that many people face. Siri now recognizes only 3 languages and a few accents in English, but Apple sells the iPhone 4S in 29 countries already. We are talking about several dozen languages that Siri does not recognize and we are talking about users who cannot enjoy all the functions of the assistant. At the moment Siri is just an attempt to do something really extraordinary, but we will look at Siri with different eyes only when the support for languages will be expanded and together with it the support for local searches will be expanded.
