Last week we told you that evidence was found in Mac OS X that the iMessage application could interact with iChat, and since then various rumors have started to circulate claiming that Apple will bring the popular messaging system to the operating system for Macs. Well, it seems that at Apple there are teams of engineers who implements iMessage in iChat, but there are others who develop a separate application that would work with iMessage from iOS. For now, it is not known how iMessage will be brought to Mac OS X, but Apple is thinking of doing this and I hope that the implementation will be completed as soon as possible. In the video clip above we have a concept that shows how an application with iMessage could be implemented in Mac OS X Lion.

Along with iMessage, Apple is testing the implementation of AirPlay Mirroring in Lion. Basically, users will be able to cast their Mac screen to a TV, projector or external monitor using an Apple TV. This feature would allow anyone to make presentations, watch movies, play games, do whatever they want, all through a Wi-Fi network, without having to connect an HDMI cable from the Mac to the external source. Apple is currently testing this feature in Mac OS X Lion, but no one knows if it will ever be released or not.

I for one believe that the release of iMessage for Mac OS X Lion would be extremely beneficial for Apple and would greatly please many users.
