Video: The best MacBook Air clone

    I was telling you last night that one of the best clones of the MacBook Air designed by the Apple company was made in China. Last night we only presented a picture of the product, but now I have a video clip that shows the clone in all its glory and as you can see it looks almost identical to a MacBook Air. I told you last night that that clone does not have the Apple apple inlaid on the back, but I was wrong, even this design element is present in the case and to be honest, everything looks exactly like a MacBook Air that apparently runs Windows XP in Bootcamp.

    The clone designed by the Chinese has the following hardware configuration:

  • Intel Atom N2800 of 1.86GHz;
  • integrated video card GMA3600;
  • 13.3-inch LED monitor with 1366×768 resolution;
  • 2GB of RAM;
  • 32GB SSD;
  • two USB 2.0 ports;
  • 3 in 1 card reader;
  • mini-HDMI port;
  • 4100mAh battery that offers an autonomy of 3.5 hours but cannot be changed.

    The clone designed by the Chinese costs only $472, half the price of the cheapest MacBook Air, but of course you will not have the same hardware configuration nor the same experience of Mac OS X. Even so, for $472 you have a very interesting notebook, with a special design and relatively good performance.

  1. The display cover looks like hell. It can be seen that it is thicker than the original. The frame around the screen is protruding, instead of having a thin black rubber seal.
    The overall looks like the original, but what's the use? It can't run OSX, you don't have multi touch - it's about the same magic as clones with two ipone4 cards. Those who would buy an iPhone clone will probably also buy an Air clone. After all, if there were no buyers of fakes, they would no longer be manufactured.

  2. With an operating system that is no longer supported by the manufacturer, a yesterday's hardware configuration, and parts that will probably fall apart after a month or so of use, this two-parallel copy is nothing more than a curiosity and a sample of the lack of creativity of the Asians, which does them no credit, not at all!

  3. @bubu: Mac OS X is not ported for the Intel Atom platform, Apple products do not use these processors (they consume too much to be usable in a mobile device, the performance is not too great).
