Real Racing 2 is one of the best racing games in the App Store and during the last evening the developers from Firemint updated the application again to improve one of the newly implemented functions. The function is called Party Play, and Firemint has improved the performance of the iPhone 4S terminal while using this new game mode, but has also implemented other changes. For just a few days Real Racing 2 HD was available at the price of €1.59 in the App Store and those who had the opportunity to purchase the game are now in for a pleasant surprise.
Here's what's new in Real Racing 1.12.01 version 2:
Party Play
- Performance improvements for iPhone 4S
- Race positions and driver assist icons are displayed for all players
- Track mini-map and race readings are visible on all devices
- All players can now change the camera view during a Party Play race
- Wrong way indicator is displayed in split-screen play
- Race host device now displays the correct number of drivers when players leave the race
Save Restore
- Added the ability to restore saves from multiple accounts
Miscellaneous
- Help manual has been updated to include AirPlay & Party Play instructions
- Missing track textures on iPhone 4S have been corrected
- Player names are now visible above cars in multiplayer
- Lighting effect causing overly-dark tracks has been disabled
- Missing loading screen at startup has been fixed
- Vehicle performance rating now updates when enabling / disabling upgrades
- Improved performance when phone vibration is enabled
Real Racing 2 is available in the App Store in two versions: one for iPhone/iPod Touch which costs €3.99 and one for iPad which costs €5.49.
