iOS 5.0.1 causes problems with contacts

iOS 5.0.1 is available in iTunes as of last night, but for many users the new version of the operating system brought some problems in addition to those existing in iOS 5. For some, version 5.0.1 solved the battery autonomy problems, but for others the problem just appeared but everything ends with a new problem related to the contact address. It seems that for some users, iOS 5.0.1 not displayed the names of the contacts when they are called or receive a message, but instead only displays the phone number. The contacts are still displayed in the phone book, but the applications fail to make the connection between the phone number and the contact.

I updated my iPhone 4S earlier today (using the OTA method), and I discovered a nasty bug. My iPhone could no longer remember the names of any of my contacts! I opened up the contacts app on my phone and discovered that all of the entries were still there but if I got a text or a call my iPhone would have a sudden bout of amnesia and forget the contacts name.

Apparently the problem has to do with the iPhone 4S and the OTA Updates to iOS 5.0.1. The one who discovered the problem found out that other owners are in exactly the same situation and for now other models of iPhone terminals are not affected. It is possible that the OTA Update process causes such a problem and if you experience it on your terminal, please leave a comment.
