In two weeks after the release of the first version of the Gmail application for iOS, Google relaunches the application in the App Store, this time without the problems that all users encountered after installing the initial version. Those from Gmail say that to install the new version of the application you have to delete the old one or log out of it. The hope is that this version of the application won't have the same problems as the other one, but it's good to be careful and not expect too much now.

Here are the main features of the Gmail application:

  • Receive notification badges for new messages
  • Read your mail with threaded conversations
  • Organize your mail by archiving, labeling, starring, deleting, and reporting spam
  • Keep track of important messages with priority inbox
  • Auto-complete contact names as you type
  • Send and receive attachments
  • Search through all your mail

The Gmail application for iOS is available in a universal version for iPhone and iPad.

UPDATE: It seems that the application does not send push notifications at all, nor does it allow setting their display mode.
