HTC Zeta – an Android smartphone with a 2.5 GHz quad-core processor

Recently, more and more manufacturers of Android terminals are preparing products that incorporate quad-core processors and in the images above we have a HTC device called Zeta. The terminal in the images should have a 2.5 GHz quad-core processor produced by Qualcomm, 1 GB RAM, 4.5 inch HD screen with 1280×720 resolution and of course Android 4.0. The design is interesting, quite different from what we have now on the market, somewhat similar to that of an iPod Touch but a little more "rough around the edges".

Design aside, 2.5 GHz quad-core processor? I think somewhere someone made an addition, 1+1 gave 2 and instead of 1.5 GHz they came out 2.5. I can't believe that HTC would implement such a powerful processor in a smartphone and not in a tablet and if we make a little comparison with PCs, there are few laptops that have 2.5 GHz quad-core processors. I for one think that too much processing power is put into these smartphones and I can't understand who will need it if there are no extremely complex applications and no really good games.
