Never Wet is a new type of spray that would apparently make any electronic objects waterproof. Spray was developed by the researchers from Ross Nanotechnology and in the video clip above we have a demonstration of how it works. Basically, we are talking about a superhydrophobic substance that we can apply to any surface and that turns that surface into an impermeable one. This property of impermeability lasts for more than a year and theoretically the entire demonstration would be 100% real.

The Never Wet spray does not only protect the device against water, it also protects it against frost, corrosion and bacteria. The technology seems to be extremely interesting, but for now it is at least a year away from being launched on the market and no one knows how effective it is. Theoretically, it could turn any electronic object into a waterproof one, but it remains to be seen what side effects the substance has on the device or on the people who use it. How useful would you find such a solution?
